The Winter Solstice (Dongzhi Festival 冬至) is one of the essential Chinese festival celebrations of the year. In tradition, in most northern regions, the Chinese would eat dumplings, and in the southern regions, the Chinese would eat glutinous rice. Since I have been practicing Chinese Brush painting, the winter solstice festival is around the corner on December 21, 2020. We have been sending cute animated graphics through the phone to wish our friends and family a fantastic winter solstice festival in the past year. This year, I want to do something in a more analog way. So I painted some greeting cards ahead of time and sending them to my friends and family. 2020 has been a crazy year for everyone. I hope these little cards would bring them a joy to cheer them up, and be ready for 2021.
